Masala Oats

Ingredients to make Masala Oats

  • Oats 1 cup
  • carrot (finely chopped) 1/2 cup
  • Beans (finely chopped) 1/2 cup
  • onion (chopped) 1/2
  • ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Green chili (chopped) 1
  • tomato (diced) 1 (small)
  • coriander leaves (chopped) 2 tbsp
  • turmeric powder 1/8 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1/4 tsp
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
  • water 2 and 1/2 cups
  • salt as required

How to make Masala Oats

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add the cumin seeds and saute for a minute.
  3. Next add in the onion, green chili, carrots, beans and coriander leaves.
  4. Saute for 2 minutes and then cook covered for about 5 minutes, stirring in between.
  5. Then add the tomatoes and saute till they soften.
  6. Add in the turmeric and red chili powders and mix.
  7. Next add in 2 cups of water, and let it boil.
  8. Once it boils, add the oats and cook covered for 5-8 minutes.
  9. Add more water if it thickens too much.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy the super delicious masala oats.
