Green tea soup

Ingredients

  • Olive oil 1 tbsp
  • Onion, medium size, 1
  • Broccoli 50gm
  • Carrot, large 1
  • Spring onion 1 (whole)
  • Thyme 2 stems
  • Parsley 3 stems
  • Green peas, whole, 4-5
  • Lettuce, handful
  • Cilantro with stems handful
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Soy sauce 1 tsp
  • Bayleaf 1
  • Green tea bags 2
  • Water 1 L

Steps

  1. Heat a pan and add olive oil.
  2. Roughly chop all the veggies, and add to pan. Saute for 4-5 mins.
  3. Add water to pan along with salt and thyme. Bring to boil once.
  4. Continue to simmer for another 40 mins. Add soy sauce.
  5. Add the green tea bags for 2 mins.
  6. Cook for another 3-4 mins.
  7. Serve with cilantro, and grilled lemon.
My Tip: Roughly chopped veggies will give more flavour to your broth. You separate the broth, and store it.
