Ingredients to make Oats Semolina Vegetable Idli

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup semolina
  • 1 cup curd
  • 1/2 cup grated carrot
  • 1/4 cup peas
  • 1 packet Eno or 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp black mustard seeds
  • 3-4 karri leaves
  • 1/2 tsp oil

How to make Oats Semolina Vegetable Idli

  1. Dry roast oats for 3-4 mins , then grind them in a mixer
  2. In a pan add oil , allow oil to heat up a little then add mustard seeds and curry leaves ,followed by grated carrot ,peas and semolina.
  3. Stir all ingredients for a min on medium flame , then switch of the flame.
  4. Transfer the mixture in a bowl and add allow it to cool for 5 mins
  5. Then add oats powder and curd and salt to it and keep aside for 15 mins
  6. In the mean time grease idli plates with oil and boil water in steamer.
  7. Add little water to batter if required to get proper consistency and add eno and mix well.
  8. Pour batter in idli plates and steam for 15 mins
  9. serve hot and enjoy fuffly heathy idlis
