Ingredients to make Gajar ka Halwa without Ghee

  • 750 gm khoya roasted
  • 2 kg gajar grated
  • 500 gm sugar
  • Few Chopped nuts of your choice
  • 1/2 tsp elaichi powder
  • 1/2 glass full cream milk

How to make Gajar ka Halwa without Ghee

  1. Peel, wash and grate the carrots. Put the grated carrots in a pressure cooker with milk and pressure cook for 1 whistle.
  2. Now take a heavy base kadahi. First roast the khoya and keep aside. Put the pressure cooked carrots in the kadhai and add sugar. Mix well...
  3. Add chopped nuts and cook on a slow flame till the water dries. Now add khoya, elaichi powder and cook for 10-15 minutes on low flame. Keep stirring and cooking it until it has dried up. serve.
