Ingredients to make Jackfruit fritters (Halasina hannina mulka in Kannada)

  • rice- 2 cups(soaked for 3 to 4 hours)
  • Finely chopped jackfruit- 2 cups
  • Grated coconut- 1 cup
  • Grated jaggery - 3/4 Cup
  • Yellaki powder or cardamom powder- 1 tsp
  • rice flour - 1 tbsp
  • salt Pinch
  • oil to fry

How to make Jackfruit fritters (Halasina hannina mulka in Kannada)

  1. Remove water from soaked rice. To this Add Jackfruit pieces, grated coconut, grind coarsely without water.
  2. Add other ingredients to this and mix well. Keep aside for 15 mins.
  3. Drop small roundels into hot oil and fry on medium flame. Serve hot with ghee.

I added a little sugar and maida too.. U can also add an egg to this if one wants them extra fluffy.
