Ingredients to make Banana Bread

  • 100 gm raisins
  • 3 tbsp rum
  • 175 gm flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • tsp baking soda
  • tsp salt
  • 125 gms butter melted
  • 150 gms sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 bananas mashed
  • 60 gms chopped walnuts
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

How to make Banana Bread

  1. Boil the sultanas and rum together for a few minutes. Remove and cool.
  2. Preheat oven to 170 degrees Celsius
  3. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  4. Beat together melted butter and sugar well. Add in eggs one at a time.
  5. Add mashed bananas. Add walnuts, sultanas and rum and vanilla essence.
  6. Add walnuts, sultanas and rum and vanilla essence.
  7. Put in a loaf tin and bake for 1 hour or till a skewer inserted comes out clean.
