Batata Vada
Ingredients to make Batata Vada
- 1kg potatoes boiled peeled and smashed into smooth pulp
- 4 tbsp green chilly paste
- 3 tbsp ginger
- 5 curry leaves broken into pieces few corriander leaves
- 4 tbsp each of sugar and lemon juice
- salt to taste
- For seasoning ( vaghaar)
- 1 tbsp oil 1 tbsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp astafoetida
- 6 curry leaves
- For batter
- 250 gm gram flour
- 3 tbsp kashmiri red chilly powder
- 1 tsp green chilly paste
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tbsp corriander powder
- I tsp sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- salt to taste
- oil to fry
How to make Batata Vada
My Tip:
Can be served in high tea party, As side dish for festive celebration or eaten as breakfast tucked in pavement with tea or coffee.
