Ingredients to make mutton masala

  • Mutton 1 kg
  • onion 4 large size
  • garlic paste 2 tsp
  • ginger paste 2 tsp
  • curd 3 tbsp
  • turmeric powder 2 tsp
  • red chili pwoder 2tbsp
  • Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
  • Black cardamom 2 no
  • cinnamon 2 pieces
  • mace 1/2 pices
  • bay leaf 2no
  • green cardamon 6 no
  • salt to taste
  • mustard oil 4 tbsp
  • deshi ghee/clarified butter 1tbsp
  • coriander powder 2 tsp
  • cumin 1 tsp
  • chopped coriander and green chili for garnishing

How to make mutton masala

  1. wash the mutton and keep in strainer, now mix 1 tbsp curd,1 tsp salt,black pepper powder,1tsp ginger and 1 tsp garlic paste.cover and leave it for 1/2 hour.
  2. slice the 1 onion and golden fry in ghee. make the onion paste with remaining onion. heat the oil in pressure cooker .turn off the flame.
  3. now add whole spices and let them crackle, now switch on the gas and add ginger,garlic paste saute it add onion paste cook till golden brown. now add dry spices and stir it continuously
  4. now add marinated mutton roast it till the oil separates. now add remaining curd cook it 5 minute more .
  5. add sufficient water and cook it till done, garnish with coriander and silted green chili.
