Instant Moong Dal Halwa

Ingredients to make Instant Moong Dal Halwa

  • One cup yellow moong dal
  • One cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup ghee
  • 1/4 cup mawa (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp badam and pista flakes
  • boiling water 2 cups

How to make Instant Moong Dal Halwa

  1. coarsely grind moond dal like sooji
  2. In a deep pan add ghee
  3. let ghee become hot
  4. add powdered moong dal
  5. roast it on slow flame till it changes colour to golden
  6. Add hot water. When the water gets absorbed, add sugar and mix properly
  7. As sugar dissolves add cardamom powder
  8. Cook till halwa leaves ghee from sides
  9. Garnish with badam and pistachio flakes
  10. Serve hot
My Tip: Ghee and sugar can be adjusted
