Tapoica Sweet Potato Halwa

Ingredients to make Tapoica Sweet Potato Halwa

  • Tapioca - 1 Medium size
  • Sweet potato -1
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
  • kesar Colour - a pinch
  • Water for sugar syrup - 1/2 cup
  • cashews - 10
  • ghee - 1 tbsp or more as required.

How to make Tapoica Sweet Potato Halwa

  1. Pressure cook Tapioca, Sweet Potato with the skin for 5 whistles.
  2. Cool & Peel off the skin
  3. Whip for a few seconds in the mixie along with a cup of milk to a smooth paste.
  4. Heat a cup of sugar along with little water until sugar dissolves and becomes slightly thick.
  5. Add a pinch of kesar colour, cardamom powder and then the ground paste.
  6. Stir continuously and add a little ghee
  7. When it leaves sides of the pan, transfer to a container.
  8. Garnish with fried cashews.

My Tip:

Add milk. Adding milk to any halwa, will enhance the taste.
