Ingredients to make Rajbhog

  • Full cream milk - 1 ltr
  • Lime juice - 2 tbsp
  • Sugar - 1/2 kg
  • Water - 5 cup
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
  • Crushed Cashews and Pistachios - 1 tbsp
  • Yellow food colour - a pinch

How to make Rajbhog

  1. Boil milk on low flame.Add lime juice and stir well.
  2. Heat it and stir till water separate from milk.
  3. Switch off the flame and let it cool for 2 minutes.
  4. Strain with muslin cloth.
  5. Wash it with cold water. It helps in softness of Rajbhog.
  6. Hang the muslin cloth for 30 minutes.
  7. Knead the Chena for 10 to 12 minutes and make soft and smooth dough.
  8. Add few drops of yellow food colour in dough and knead again.
  9. Make 5 to 6 balls.Take crushed Cashews and Pistachios in a bowl.
  10. Add Cardamom powder and 1 tbsp chena in it.
  11. Stuff this mixture in each balls and give round shape.
  12. Make a thin Sugar syrup from Sugar and water in a big pan.
  13. When it starts boiling drop chena balls and close the lid of pan.
  14. Boil it on medium flame for 15 minutes.
  15. After 25 minutes open the lid, Rajbhog will expand double in size.
  16. Boil again for 10 minutes on high flame.
  17. Now switch off the flame and add Rosewater.
  18. Place the Rajbhog in a bowl. Put sugar syrup over it.
  19. Let it cool completely.Serve chilled.
