French Fries

Ingredients to make French Fries

  • potatoes large 5
  • oil for frying
  • Water for boiling
  • Paprika 1 tsp
  • coriander leaves finely chopped 1 tsp
  • salt 1 tsp
  • Chaat masala 1 tsp

How to make French Fries

  1. Wash and peel potatoes
  2. Slice the potatoes
  3. Make thick slices
  4. Now wash the Juliennes in the water 4-5 times
  5. Now take deep vessel add water and bring it to a boil. Add salt
  6. Add Juliennes in hot boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Turn off the flame. Keep the lid. Keep only for 2 minutes
  7. Drain water and spread the slices on a kitchen towel
  8. Keep the slices in the fridge for an hour.
  9. Now take a deep kadai for frying add enough oil for frying
  10. Take out the Juliennes from the fridge and wait till the oil is hot
  11. Fry a small batch at a time
  12. Semifry the slices and remove from the oil.
  13. Now again spread this semi fried Juliennes into the kitchen paper and let it cool.
  14. After 10-15 minutes deepfry in hot oil till it turns light golden in colour and is crispy.
  15. Now you fries are ready.
  16. Now sprinkle paprika and chaat Masala with chopped coriander leaves.
  17. Serve with ketchup or mayonnaise

My Tip:

Your fries will be crispier if you let the slices rest before frying
