Ingredients to make Gajar ka halwa

  • Carrots 1 kg
  • Milk 1.5 litres
  • Sugar 1.5 cup
  • Cardamom 6-8
  • Cashews 15-20
  • Almonds 15-20
  • Ghee 4 tbsp

How to make Gajar ka halwa

  1. First wash and grate the carrots.
  2. Take the rice cooker , switch it on and add carrots to it.
  3. Add all the milk in it.
  4. You may cover until the first boil comes
  5. Now remove the lid and let the carrot and milk mix cook. Keep on stirring at occasion.
  6. When the contents reduce to half add crushed cardamoms, sugar in it.
  7. Keep stirring it. Don't close lid of rice cooker anytime.
  8. Add cashews and almonds in it.
  9. Keep stirring it nd let the contents cook until the liquid gets evaporated completely.
  10. Switch off the rice cooker.
  11. Now take a karahi,add ghee in It.
  12. Pour gajar halwa in it.
  13. Keep.stirring it until ghee comes out on sides.
  14. Switch off the gas.
  15. Your gajar halwa is ready to be served
My Tip: I feel gajar halwa tastes awsome when its totally dry there's no liquid at all.
