Ingredients to make Banana chips

  • Plantains 4(green 1s,i prefer the long south Indian one)
  • Coconut oil for frying
  • Turmeric 1 tsp

How to make Banana chips

  1. Please apply oil to your hands before starting as these plaintains extract a sticky substance.
  2. Make a slit on the banana length wise with a knife and open the banana
  3. Now soak the banans for 30 mins in turmeric water to cleanse them
  4. Heat oil.Prefer coconut oil (cold press) as it gives amazing flavour
  5. Now pat dry the plaintains and directly grate the slices in the oil.(use the slice grater).if you are not comfortable then slice 1st and then fry in batches.
  6. Fry till golden color
  7. TO BAKE
  8. Line the sliced bananas in a baking try and brush coconut oil on both the sides of the banans and bake at 180 Degree celcius for 15 mins or till they turn golden.
My Tip: Bakong the chips is an healthy and guilt free options.Taste almost same.I prefer baking these days.
