Singhara poha

Ingredients to make Singhara poha

  • 1 kg peeled singhara
  • 250 g poha
  • 2 spoons garam masala
  • salt (according to taste)
  • 1/2 spoon turmeric
  • 4 cloves
  • 2 green elaichi
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 green chillies
  • asafoetida 1/4 teaspoon
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 spoon sugar
  • 1/2 spoon aamchoor powder
  • 50 g coriander leaves

How to make Singhara poha

  1. Put poha in a bowl. Wash and drain water.
  2. make a fine powder of cardamom, cloves and black pepper using a grinder.
  3. Add 1 spoon garam masala, salt, sugar, aamchoor powder and powdered spices and chopped coriander leaves in poha and mix and keep it aside.
  4. Chop singarha into fine pieces and boil till 1 whistle and then drain water from it.
  5. Put 2 table spoons oil in a kadahi and heat the oil. Then add mustard seeds, chopped green chillies and ginger and asafoetida in it.
  6. Add boiled singharha. Add salt and turmeric. Now cover and cook for 2-3 minutes on sim flame.
  7. Now remove the lid and add 2 tablespoon desi ghee. Now add poha and stir properly for 2 minutes on sim flame.
  8. Your singharha chuda is ready. Serve hot.
