Ingredients to make Pav bhaji

  • 1 cup potato
  • 1/4 cup peas, cauliflower, capsicum.
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 1 green chilli finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • salt as per taste
  • 1 large tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Pav bhaji masala
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • Additional butter for pav
  • Pav for bhaji
  • coriander chopped for garnish
  • lemon wedges
  • Chopped onion for garnish
  • 1 tbsp butter for garnish

How to make Pav bhaji

  1. Boil the potatoes, capsicum, cauliflower and peas. Mash up well
  2. Add butter in a pan and heat up. Add chopped onion and fry till they become translucent,add green chillies, ginger garlic paste, And fry till it gets fragrant.
  3. Add tomatoes paste, salt, chili powder and pav bhaji masala and fry till all the raw smell goes away.
  4. Add all the boiled vegetables in a mix. Pour water enough to bring to a consistency.
  5. Cook for 5 minutes on a low flame and garnish it with coriander leaves .
  6. Heat butter on a tawa. Open the buns and toast it for a minute.
  7. Serve pav bhaji with butter pav with chopped onion and lemon wedges.
