TANDOORI MOMOS

Ingredients to make TANDOORI MOMOS

  • For momos:
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup cabbage shredded
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp garlic finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger chopped
  • 15 to 20 soya chunks balls
  • 1 tbsp black pepper powder
  • salt as per taste
  • For tandoori style :
  • 1 cup hung curd
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp dry mango powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • salt as per taste

How to make TANDOORI MOMOS

  1. Take all purpose flour in a bowl then add salt and knead a soft dough and keep aside
  2. Take soya chunks and boil them in water add salt until soft
  3. When drain the water from it. Squeeze a little bit and then grind the chunks in mixer grinder
  4. Take a pan add 1 tbsp oil in it
  5. Then add garlic and ginger. Saute it for 2 min
  6. Then add green chillies
  7. Add cabbage and bell pepper in it
  8. Saute for 2 minutes
  9. Then add salt and black pepper powder
  10. Add soya sauce, then add grinded soya chunks
  11. Saute till the mixture becomes dry
  12. Take a small portion of dough as we take of puri
  13. Roll it a little with a rolling pin
  14. Add 1 tbsp of stuffing in it and pack it as we pack a modak
  15. Make around 8 to 10 or as much as you want
  16. Steam the momos half ( that means steam it only for 5 min )
  17. Now to make it tandoori:
  18. Take hung curd in a bowl
  19. Add cumin powder, garam masala, red chilly powder, dry mango powder, coriander powder and salt
  20. Take the momos coat it with this mixture and grill it on the grilling pan by applying some oil on both the sides
  21. Grill until crisp
  22. Serve with mint chutney
