DAHI VADA

Ingredients to make DAHI VADA

  • 1 bowl yellow urad dal
  • 500 gm curd
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • Roasted zeera
  • 2 tsp roasted zeera powder
  • Salt or black salt as per taste
  • Handful of coriander leaves
  • Green chutney
  • Sweet chutney
  • 1 cup milk
  • Red chilli powder
  • Oil for frying

How to make DAHI VADA

  1. Wash dal 3 to 4 times and soak overnight
  2. Next morning grind the dal coarsely without using water
  3. Remove in mixing bowl and add ginger garlic paste, salt, 1 tsp zeera powder, zeera cover and keep for 30 min
  4. In kadai heat oil
  5. Take the mixture and stir once again nicely
  6. Wet your finger and take the mixture, make balls and deep fry them till golden brown color
  7. Remove on a kitchen tissue to drain
  8. Take the curd in big bowl and add milk, stir nicely so the lumps are removed and curd is smooth
  9. Take water in bowl and add vadas in it, keep for 2 min
  10. Remove it, press and remove the excess water and add to curd
  11. Now put salt or black salt, red chilli powder, green and sweet chutney, coriander leaves,1 tsp zeera powder, zeera
  12. And ready to sever
My Tip: For instant you can soak dal for 2 hr also
