Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Finger millet flour -1 Cup
  2. Cooked broken rice -1/4 Cup
  3. Butter milk as required
  4. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Add 4 cups of water to the finger millet flour and rest it for 6 hours.
  2. In a heavy bottomed vessel cook the flour in medium flame by stirring it continuously.
  3. Cook well for about 15 mins. The mixture will become glossy and thick. Add cooked broken brown rice to it and stir for 5 more minutes.
  4. If it is well cooked it will not stick to your finger.
  5. Add buttermilk and salt as required once the mixture cools down completely.
  6. Serve with pearl onions or pickle of your choice.
