Dahi Vada

Ingredients to make Dahi Vada

  • 2cups split urad dal
  • 2cups curd
  • 2cups Buttermilk
  • 1/2 tbsp Jeera powder
  • 1/2 Black salt
  • Salt to taste
  • 4tbsp sugar
  • Red chili powder
  • Chaat masala
  • Coriander leaves
  • Sweet chutney
  • Green chutney

How to make Dahi Vada

  1. Soak urad dal for 3-4 hours
  2. Remove excess water
  3. Grind the soaked dal into a fine paste
  4. Heat sufficient oil in pan and deep fry vada in hot oil
  5. When done from one side then turn and fry till golden color from both sides
  6. Take buttermilk in big bowl
  7. Dip vada in buttermilk for 5 minutes
  8. Squeeze out vada
  9. Beat curd
  10. Add sugar, salt, blacksalt, little chaat masala
  11. Plating....place vada on serve plating Pour sufficient beaten curd on vada
  12. Pour sweet chutney.
  13. And green chutney
  14. Garnish with coriander leaves
  15. Serve chilled
My Tip: soak vada in buttermilk
