Tandoori Prawns/ Jhinga

Ingredients to make Tandoori Prawns/ Jhinga

  • For the Tandoori masala:
  • Tiger prawns - 20 nos
  • Hung curd - 4tbspn
  • chilly powder - 1/2 to 1tspn
  • cumin powder - 1/2tspn
  • coriander powder - 1/2tspn
  • Garam masala powder - 1/8th tspn
  • pepper powder - 1/4th tspn
  • ginger garlic paste - 1/2tspn
  • Tandoori colour - little
  • tomato puree or paste - 1 to 2 tspn
  • oil - 1 to 2 tspn
  • lemon juice - 2tspn
  • MDH Tandoori masala - 1 to 2 tspn
  • salt - according to taste
  • For Green masala:
  • Hung curd – 4tbspn
  • coriander leaves - handful
  • mint leaves - handful
  • green chillies – 3 or 4
  • pepper powder – 1/4th tspn
  • Garam masala powder - one pinch
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • ginger garlic paste – 1/4th tspn
  • oil – 2tspn
  • salt according to taste.

How to make Tandoori Prawns/ Jhinga

  1. Mix all the ingredients and marinate prawns over night. Arrange prawns on skewers. Grease the grilling tray. Pre-heat oven for 15 minutes. Cook prawns for 10 to 15 minutes at 200 degrees C.
  2. Soak the skewers for 30 minutes
  3. Serve hot with your favorite dip and salad.
