Dahi Chicken

Ingredients to make Dahi Chicken

  • Chicken - 12 pieces
  • Curd - 1 Cup
  • Ginger Garlic paste - 2 tsp
  • Black pepper - 3 tbsp
  • Butter - 3 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves - a bunch
  • Kasuri methi - 2 tsp
  • Fresh cream - 4 tbsp
  • Slit green chilies - 4-5
  • Salt and sugar as per taste
  • Sunflower oil - 2 tbsp

How to make Dahi Chicken

  1. Marinate the chicken with curd and salt and keep aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add the ginger garlic paste till the raw smell goes off. Add the marinated chicken and mix well.
  3. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes. Then add sugar, green chilies and fresh cream.
  4. Cook for another 5 min then sprinkle black pepper, coriander leaves and kasuri methi. Mix the entire thing well.
  5. Lastly when the gravy thickens, add butter and serve hot with paratha or chapattis.
My Tip: Add water if you like more gravy. This dish goes well with pulao as well.
