Neebu Ka Achaar

Ingredients to make Neebu Ka Achaar

  • Equal size lemon - 1 kg
  • Salt - 11/2 Cup
  • Roasted cumin powder - 21/2 tbsp
  • Asafoetida 1 tbsp
  • Sugar - 2 tbsp
  • Roasted carom seeds powder - 1 tsp

How to make Neebu Ka Achaar

  1. Wash the lime thoroughly and wipe with dry cloth. Place the lemon in a heavy bottom pan. Now add the salt and mix well.
  2. Firstly put a tava on heat then put the pan on it. Cover the pan with a lid and put something heavy on it. Cook on low heat for 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Open the pot after 10 minutes, if the lime is cracked then switch off the flame. Cool the lemon and mix sugar,roasted cumin powder and asafoetida. After 2-3 days pickle is ready for serve.
