Ingredients to make Home made Dabeli masala

  • 1/2 cup coriender seeds
  • 1/4 cup cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 5 cloves
  • 4-5 red whole Kashmiri chillies,1 tsp red chilli flakes
  • 4 blade mace
  • 1 star anise
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 4 black and 2 green cardamom
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick
  • 1 sesame seeds
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp desiccated coconut
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp citric acid
  • 1/4 Tsp Asafoetida
  • 1 tsp raw mango powder
  • 3/4 tsp black salt
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 2 tsp oil,salt to taste

How to make Home made Dabeli masala

  1. Heat a pan add all whole seeds and garam masala in it and dry roast,except powder,sugar,salt and citric acid.when pleasant smell comes switch of gas and keep aside to cool.
  2. when cool transfer in mixer jar and add all ingridients which are not roast,grind everything well.
  3. Add some oil and again grind till nice powder done
  4. when done remove from jar,now Dabeli masala is ready to used and contain in air tight jar.
My Tip: Don't roast too much otherwise burning smell will come which spoil the taste of Dabeli.
