Ingredients to make Chilli Bread

  • 8 - Bread slices
  • 1 - Onion diced
  • 1 - Capsicum diced
  • 1 - Carrot thinly sliced
  • 2 - Green chilies cut lengthwise
  • 1 tbsp - Finely chopped garlic
  • 4 tbsp - Tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp - Green chilly sauce
  • 1 tsp - Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp - Soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp - Black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

How to make Chilli Bread

  1. Cut the edges of the bread and then cut into square pieces and slightly roast them in non stick pan. Once done keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a non stick pan, add garlic saute for few seconds. Add onions saute for some time till they are light pink in colour.
  3. Next add carrots and green chilies. Saute for a minute. Add capsicum let it cook for a minute. Do not over cook the capsicum it should be crunchy in taste.
  4. Add black pepper, salt, vinegar, tomato sauce, green chilly sauce, soy sauce and mix everything well. At last add the toasted bread pieces, mix gently so that the vegetables gets mixed with the bread nicely.
  5. You can add more tomato sauce and green chilly if required. Garnish with some spring onion greens(optional) and Serve hot with a cup of tea. Enjoy!!
My Tip: You can add vegetables of your choice also.
