Eggless fruit custard

Ingredients to make Eggless fruit custard

  • Milk 1 litre
  • Cornflour 5 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Vanilla essence 2-3 tsp
  • Apple 1/2 cut into pieces
  • Orange 1 seeds and skin removed
  • Black / green grapes 20 cut in half
  • Rasgullas cut into pieces ( optional)
  • Bananas 1 cut into pieces
  • Ripe mango 1/2 cut into pieces
  • Pomogranite 1/2 deseeded
  • Sugar to taste

How to make Eggless fruit custard

  1. Mix cornflour and turmeric in enough milk to make a pouring lumpfree paste...
  2. Boil the rest of the milk
  3. As it keeps boiling, gradually add in the paste continuously until everything is mixed
  4. Add in the sugar while stirring and cook for 2 to 3 minutes stirring
  5. Switch the flame off, mix in the vanilla and let it cool
  6. Once cooled add in the fruits and rasgullas and serve chilled
My Tip: Keep stirring continuously to avoid lumps... Be careful while adding the sugar as the fruits are also sweet
