Ingredients to make Besan mirchi

  • Big green chilly 4-5
  • oil 1&1/2 tsp
  • sugar (optional)1/2 tsp
  • gram flour/besan 2tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
  • corriander powder 1/2 tsp
  • Pinch of Asafoetida
  • Water 2-3 tbsp
  • aamchur powder/raw mango powder
  • Roasted and crushed peanuts

How to make Besan mirchi

  1. Chop the chilies into small pieces .
  2. Heat 1/2 tsp of oil in a pan.
  3. Add the gram flour and roast on slow flame .
  4. Once it becomes golden brown, transfer t=it into another bowl.
  5. Now add rest of the 1tsp of oil in same pan.
  6. Add asafoetida, followed by the cumin seeds.
  7. Then add the chopped green chillies.
  8. Now mix the turmeric powder, red chili powder, amchur powder, coriander powder and salt into the roasted gram flour .
  9. Add the above made gram flour and spice mix into the cooking green chilies in the pan.
  10. Mix it properly.
  11. Add about 2-3 tbsp of water .
  12. Now add the lemon juice followed by the sugar.
  13. Add the roasted peanuts.
  14. Give the mixture a stir and cook for 2-3 minutes .
  15. Check for salt and serve the besan mirchi.
