MAMBHALAM PULICHERI

Ingredients to make MAMBHALAM PULICHERI

  • Ripe mangoes 1 cup
  • Curd 1/2 cup
  • Red chilly powder 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • Mustard seeds 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fenugreek 1/4 teaspoon
  • Red chillies 2 numbers
  • Curry leaves few
  • Coconut oil 2 tablespoons
  • Salt to taste
  • GRIND TOGETHER-
  • Grated coconut 4 tablespoons
  • Green chillies 2 numbers
  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon

How to make MAMBHALAM PULICHERI

  1. Heat oil in a kedai add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek,red chillies,curry leaves and allow it to splutter.
  2. Add the cubed mangoes( with skin) followed by red chilly powder, turmeric powder,little water and allow it to cook until the mangoes are soft.
  3. Add the ground paste boil for 2 minutes
  4. Finally add the slightly whipped curd and immediately switch off the gas .
  5. Serve hot with rice.
My Tip: Coconut oil is a must for this dish.
