Dragon chicken

Ingredients to make Dragon chicken

  • Chicken-500 gm-boiled and shredded
  • Sugar and salt as per taste
  • Cashew-6-8 roasted
  • Sunflower oil
  • egg-1
  • Cornflour-4 tbsp
  • Green chillies-3 chopped
  • Ginger garlic. Chopped-3 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste-2 tbsp
  • Capsicum-1 cut into cubes
  • Curd-100gm
  • Tomato sauce- 3tbsp
  • Soya sauce-4 tsp
  • Chopped spring onions-a handful
  • Chicken stock- 1 cup
  • Garlic powder-2 tsp
  • White pepper-2 tsp

How to make Dragon chicken

  1. Pressure cook the chicken for 2 whistles.Shred and keep aside.
  2. Marinate the chicken with curd, ginger garlic paste and green chillies for 2hrs.
  3. Then add cornflour, eggs and white pepper and deep fry.
  4. In the same oil add the chopped ginger garlic, capsicum, green chillies and fry well.
  5. Then add the tomato sauce and soya sauce Mix well.
  6. To this add the chicken stock.
  7. Cook in high flame and add the chicken and spring onions.Fry well.
  8. Lastly sprinkle garlic powder and white pepper powder.
  9. Now add the roasted cashew nuts .
  10. The dish is ready.
My Tip: Do not add the chicken until the end.That is what gives the dish its crispiness
