Jamun Shots

Ingredients to make Jamun Shots

  • 250 gms Jamun (Indian blackberry)
  • 1 cup chilled water
  • 1/4 tsp black salt
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • 5-6 ice cubes
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • For serving:
  • Shot glasses
  • 1-2 piece lemon
  • Around 2-3 Tbsp salt spread on a plate

How to make Jamun Shots

  1. Wash and deseed the Jamuns.
  2. Now put this deseeded Jamuns in a blender, add water, ice cubes, sugar, black salt and lemon juice and blend together (Sugar can be totally avoided for diabetes patient as Jamun is said to be best for diabetic people)
  3. 3. Now take a lemon piece and rub it on the brim of shot glasses, now place the glass upside down in the salt plate..the salt will stick to the brim
  4. Pour the Jamun drink in the shot glasses and enjoy the shots.
My Tip: Other method to deseed the jamun is to boil the jamuns in water till the skin cracks, drain water and deseed
