Gajar ka Halwa

Ingredients to make Gajar ka Halwa

  • carrots 225 grams
  • sugar 115 grams (apprx. 1/2 cup)
  • milk 500 ml
  • ghee 55 grams
  • dried fruits/nuts 1 tsp
  • 2-3 green cardomoms crushed

How to make Gajar ka Halwa

  1. Wash the carrots thoroughly, Scrape and grate them.
  2. In a wok, put ghee and add carrots and saute for 10 mins. Add milk and stir well
  3. When milk dries up, add ghee again and stir well. Add the Dried Fruits, sugar and crushed cardamom seeds.

My Tip:

Serve it garnished with saffron threads
