Ingredients to make Sev bhaji.. indori/ maheshwari style

  • Mota sev - 1 cup
  • onion 1 chopped
  • green chillies 2
  • mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • tomato 1
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • chilli powder 1 tsp.
  • Garam masala powder optional -1/4 th tsp
  • cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • asafoetida - 1/4 th tsp

How to make Sev bhaji.. indori/ maheshwari style

  1. Heat some oil in a pan, add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds and asafoetida
  2. Add the chopped onion and saute till golden brown.
  3. Now add the green chillies and the chopped tomatoes. Cook till the tomatoes are mushy and the masala leaves oil.
  4. Now add salt, turmeric powder and the red chilly powder.
  5. Add water for gravy, once the gravy boils and is thick enough, add the sev. the sev should be added in the end so that it still remains crunchy. Serve hot.
