Pyaz Ki Kheer

Ingredients to make Pyaz Ki Kheer

  • 1 cup chopped white onion
  • 1/2 lit. milk
  • elachi powder 1/4 spoon
  • roasted badam and pista powdered as needed
  • Water 2 cups
  • 1/2 cup khoya grated
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tin condensed milk, or as sweet needed
  • chironji 1/4 spoon
  • few kesar strands

How to make Pyaz Ki Kheer

  1. Add finely sliced white onion to boiling water and cook till it is almost transparent.
  2. In another bowl, boil milk and condensed milk till it slightly reduced and add sugar and grated khoya to it.
  3. Bring it to boil and add cooked onions to the milk.
  4. Cooked till it is thick.
  5. Finely add finely chopped almond and pista slices and crushed nuts for garnish. Add Chironji and kesar strands
  6. Serve either hot or chilled
