CRISPY ONION PAKORAS

Ingredients to make CRISPY ONION PAKORAS

  • Onion ... 1 large ( cut long slices)
  • Besan ... half cup
  • Rice flour .. 1 tbsp
  • Green chillies ..... 2-3 (finely chopped)
  • Coriander leaves ... handful
  • Cumin seeds or ajwain .... 1 tsp
  • Baking soda ... a pinch
  • Red chilli powder .. 1/4 tsp
  • Salt ....... to taste
  • Oil ..... to fry

How to make CRISPY ONION PAKORAS

  1. Mix all the ingredients except oil to make a batter of dropping consistency.
  2. Heat oil in a kadai.
  3. Drop the onion with hand separating it ( don't pour chunks like big pakoras )
  4. Remove when crisp and golden brown
  5. Serve hot with chutney or sauce.
My Tip: Add a little rice flour also to make them extra crisp
