Fried onion cooked in mutton gravy is incredibly delicious.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Mutton - 500gm
  2. Small size whole onion - 5 nos
  3. Chopped onion - 1 1/2 cups
  4. Chopped tomato.- 1 cup
  5. Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 Tbsp
  6. red chilly powder- 1 tsp
  7. Turmeric powder - 2 tsp
  8. Saunf- 1 tbsp
  9. Pepper corn - 1 tbsp
  10. Coriander - 2 tbsp
  11. Cumin - 1 1/2 tsp
  12. Cinnamon - 1 big stick
  13. Clove - 5 nos
  14. Cardamom- 4 nos
  15. Whole red chilly - 6 nos
  16. Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup
  17. Curd - 1/2.cup
  18. Chopped coriander - 1 tbsp
  19. Oil - 3 tbsp
  20. salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. Put mutton , red chilly powder, turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp saunf and 10 pepper corn. Pour 2 cups of water and boil to soft.
  2. Dry roast the other whole masalas with grated coconut. Ground to make paste.
  3. Heat 3.tbsp oil and deep fry the whole onion and keep aside.
  4. In same oil add 1 tsp Shah jeera . Add chopped onion after 1 minutes. Fry the onion till translucent.
  5. Add ginger garlic paste, cook for 2 mins or till raw smell is gone. Add chopped tomato and grounded masalas and fried onion. Cook till oil comes out from the side . Add curd and mix well.
  6. Add boiled mutton with juice , salt and cook for another 5 minutes. Sprinkle coriander leaves and switch off the gas.
  7. Mutton is ready to serve
