ABOUT Vegetables and Cheese Stuffed Onion Sandwich Pakoda ( my innovation) RECIPE

I have stuffed veggies and Cheese Between the Onions slices and fried the Pakodas by dipping them in gram flour batter.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Onions 3 to 4
  2. Zucchini 1/2
  3. Carrot 1/2
  4. Beetroot 1/2
  5. Tomato 1.
  6. Cheese cubes 2.
  7. Salt 1 tsp
  8. Pepper powder 1 tsp
  9. For batter
  10. Gram flour 3 /4 cup
  11. Sooji 2 tsp
  12. Wheat flour 2 tsp
  13. Ajwain 1 tsp
  14. Salt to taste
  15. Chilli powder to taste
  16. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  17. Ginger grated 1 tsp
  18. Garam masala 1 tsp
  19. Oil for deep frying.

Instructions

  1. Chop Onions in circles, season with salt and pepper
  2. Chop Zucchini in circles, season with salt and pepper
  3. Chop Beetroot in circles, steam it for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper
  4. Just like that chop Tomato and Carrots and season with salt and pepper
  5. Now Chop the cheese cubes in small thin cube like pieces. Keep in fridge till we use them.
  6. Now take Gram flour, Sooji and Wheat flour in a bowl. Add all masala mentioned.
  7. Make batter, adjust salt. Add 1 tsp of hot oil to the batter.
  8. Now take one onion circle, keep a chopped Cheese cube over it. Press softly with a finger.
  9. Keep a steamed Beetroot slice over it. Again keep one cheese piece over it.
  10. Cover it with an Onion slice.
  11. Heat oil in a pan. Deep your Onion Sandwich in batter and drop carefully in hot oil.
  12. Keep the flame on low. After one side becomes brownish turn your Sandwich Pakoda.
  13. Now you can keep the flame on medium. Take out on absorbant paper when you get both the sides brownish.
  14. Like that make Onion sandwich with Zucchini Tomato and Carrot.
  15. If you find Carrot slice smaller than you can keep two Carrot slices.
  16. Deep fry them just putting two at a time in hot oil.
  17. Enjoy your hot Onion Sandwich Pakoda in monsoon with Tomato ketchup and a cup of hot Coffee / tea.
