About Arayes Recipe

This is an easy and tasty arabic dish. It is a grilled dish made of meat mixture filled in pita breads.

Ingredients to make Arayes

  • 1/2 kg minced meat
  • 1 big onion
  • 1 tomato
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1/2 cup Parsely leaves chopped
  • 1/2 tsp olive oil
  • 6 small Pita breads
  • salt to taste

How to make Arayes

  1. Clean the meat well and drain the water. Take a bowl and mix all the ingredients except the pita breads. Now cut the pita breads into half, fill a tbsp of the meat mixture and spread it well.
  2. Preheat the oven. Take a tray keep the meat filled pita breads and brush olive oil on top of these pita breads.
  3. Grill these breads till both the sides are browned and crispy.
  4. Cut each piece into halves and serve hot with hummus or yogurt.
