Creamy Peas Kheer

Ingredients to make Creamy Peas Kheer

  • Frozen green peas 1cup
  • Water 1cup
  • Desi ghee 1ablespoon
  • Fullcream milk 3cups
  • Sugar 1/3cup or as per ur taste
  • Green cardamom powder 1/4tablespoons
  • Cashews 5-6
  • Almonds 5-6

How to make Creamy Peas Kheer

  1. Add the green peas with a cup of water in a pan.
  2. Switch on the flame and boil for 15 minutes or until cooked.
  3. Once done, strain in a strainer and let it cool down completely.
  4. Now put peas in a mixer jar and grind into a smooth paste.
  5. Heat desi ghee in a non-stick pan.
  6. Next add green peas paste and saute it on low flame for 4 to 5 minutes.
  7. Add milk into it and keep stirring continuously.
  8. Now on medium flame cook for 5 minute until it starts bubbling.
  9. Let it simmer for 7 to 8 minutes.
  10. Next add sugar and mix very well.
  11. Cook again for 4 to 5 minutes.
  12. Switch off the flame and add cardamom powder.
  13. Transfer in a bowl and garnish with almond and cashews.
My Tip: Add cardamom powder in last, it will give extra flavour to kheer.
