Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 litre milk
  2. 3 teaspoon+3 teaspoon water+lemon juice
  3. 150 grams sugar
  4. 2 tablespoon ghee
  5. 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
  6. 1 teaspoon pistachio powder
  7. 1 silver varak

Instructions

  1. Bring the milk to a boil in a large thick bottomed wok on high heat.
  2. Add the lemon juice and sugar and continue to cook, stirring continuously, for about 1 1/2hours or till the milk become grainy and begin to thicken.
  3. Add the ghee and sugar mix well and continue to cook till the mixture begins to leave the sides of the kadai.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a plate. Set aside for 4 hours to 5 hours.
  5. During this time it will continue to cook and the middle layer become light brown.
  6. Turn the milk cake out onto a serving dish, cut into squares and serve it.
