Rava Ladoo/Semolina

Ingredients to make Rava Ladoo/Semolina

  • 1 cup freshly grated coconut
  • 2 cups rava/suji
  • 1 cup mava
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 tblspn ghee
  • 1tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
  • 2-3 tspn of milk
  • few dryfruits according to your choice ( I used cashewnuts,almonds and raisins)

How to make Rava Ladoo/Semolina

  1. In a pan add ghee till rava turns golden brown
  2. Remove the rava in a separate vessel or plate
  3. In a same pan add coconut ,sugar and mava and mix well
  4. Cook till the sugar mixes well with the other ingredients
  5. Turn off the gas & add cooked rava to the mixture
  6. Add elaichi and dry fruits then mix well
  7. If u feel the mixture is too dry then add 2-3 tspn milk
  8. Transfer the mixture into a thali and wait till it cools.
  9. Once the mixture is cool divide it into equal portions shape each portion in between your palms into a round ladoo.
  10. Store in an air-tight container
My Tip: If you sprinkle 2-3 tspns of warm milk before shaping the ladoos they will remain soft for a longer time.
