Rava Ladoo/Semolina

Ingredients to make Rava Ladoo/Semolina

  • 1 cup freshly grated coconut
  • 2 cups rava/suji
  • 1 cup mava
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 tblspn ghee
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom (elaichi) powder
  • 2-3 teaspoon of milk
  • few dryfruits according to your choice ( I used cashewnuts,almonds and raisins)

How to make Rava Ladoo/Semolina

  1. In a pan add ghee till rava turns golden brown.
  2. Remove the rava in a separate vessel or plate.
  3. In a same pan add coconut, sugar, mava and mix well.
  4. Cook till the sugar mixes well with the other ingredients.
  5. Turn off the gas and add cooked rava to the mixture.
  6. Add elaichi and dry fruits then mix well.
  7. If you feel the mixture is too dry then add 2-3 teaspoons milk.
  8. Transfer the mixture into a thali and wait till it cools.
  9. Once the mixture is cool, divide it into equal portions shape each portion in between your palms into a round ladoo.
  10. Store in an air-tight container.
My Tip: If you sprinkle 2-3 teaspoons of warm milk before shaping the ladoos they will remain soft for a longer time.
