Ingredients to make Mewa cakes

  • all purpose flour (maida) 1 cup
  • malai 1/2 cup
  • Powdered sugar 3/4 cup
  • Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon
  • Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • baking soda a pinch
  • Dry fruits of your choice chopped

How to make Mewa cakes

  1. In a bowl mix malai and sugar.
  2. Add all purpose flour mix again.
  3. Add baking powder and soda in it.
  4. Add chopped dry fruits in it.
  5. Put butter /ghee in an appe pan. I have a gas appe pan so I kept it over the gas for heating.
  6. Pour the mix with the help of a spoon and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Turn it on the other side and cook again for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Delicious appe pan mewa cake is ready.

My Tip:

Garnish with chocolate sauce.
