Leftover idli are a headache not knowing what to do,we end up reheating the same anf having it again the same boring way.why not try making an upma.its tastes simply awesome and will disappear in time.

Leftover idli Upma.

Ingredients to make Leftover idli Upma.

  • 6_7crumbled idlis
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seed
  • 1_2whole dry chillies broken
  • 1 tabl.spoon moong dal
  • 1-2green chillies slit
  • Salt to tast
  • 1_2teaspoon coriander leaves
  • Spring curry leaves
  • 2 tablespoon Peanuts
  • Oil 2 tablespoon

How to make Leftover idli Upma.

  1. heat oil in a pan and temper with mustard seed
  2. After it stops spluttering add the green chilli dry chilli curry leaves moong dal
  3. Saute for a few seconds and add the crumbled idli salt peanuts fry on mediun flame for 2_3 min.
  4. Switch off the flame and add the coriander leaves . toss well.
  5. Serve along with cocount chutney for simple and sumptuous breakfast.
My Tip: Can add urad dal instead of moong dal
