Ingredients to make colorful khandvi

  • 2-cup beasn
  • 6- cup butter milk
  • salt
  • spinach pulp - 1/4 th cup
  • beetroot juice - 1/4 th cup
  • turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • mustard seeds - 2 tsp
  • coriander leaves [chopped]
  • cumin seeds -1 spoon
  • sesame seeds -3 spoon
  • asafoetida 1/4 th tsp

How to make colorful khandvi

  1. Take one pan add 1-cup besan, butter-3 cup ,salt, mix well cook nicely till you reach a thick consistency. Similarly you have to cook the respective colored batters using the spinach pulp and the beetroot juice.
  2. Now spread all batter on the steel plat or silver foil paper , cut it into slices and roll it. do the same for the spinach and beetroot khandvi batters.
  3. For the tempering, heat a pan with some oil, add mustard seeds, jeera, sesame seeds .spread on all khandvi rolls.
  4. This is ready to be served, garnish with coriander leaves.
