ABOUT Raw mango sandwich dhokla RECIPE

Dhokla is such a famous Gujrati snack, so this time I have added the raw mango flavour to this.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1- cup rice
  2. 3-spoon chana dal
  3. 3- spoon ulad dal
  4. 3-spoon tuvar dal
  5. 3-spoon yellow mongdal
  6. salt1-cup curd
  7. 5,6 green chili
  8. garlic, ginger paste -3 tsp
  9. for tadka-2spoon oil,
  10. mustard seeds 1-spoon
  11. ajwain-1 spoon
  12. sesame seeds-3 spoon
  13. green chatni ( coriander leaves 1-cup, salt, lemon juice 1/2, green chili-1, garlic small pieces)
  14. turmeric powder -1 spoon
  15. baking soda - 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Soak the rice and dal for atleast 5 hours.
  2. Then blend the rice , dal, green chili, ginger, garlic, curd.
  3. Now heat the steamer with required amount of water, on the gas. Divide half the batter and add crushed raw mango, 1 spoon of oil and baking soda to it. Give it a mix.
  4. Pour this mango dhokla mixture into a greased plate and steam it in the dhokla steamer for 15-20 minutes.
  5. remove cap and than apply green chatni spread it and cover dhokla maker
  6. Now to the rest of the batter, add turmeric powder, 1 spoon of oil and remaining baking soda, steam it like we steamed the raw mango dhokla earlier.
  7. After 15 mints dhokla ready
  8. Heat the oil for tadka, and add the tempering ingredients, add the tempering to both the dhoklas. Cute the dhokla pieces, place one on the other, and serve.
