Ingredients to make Meringue Cookies

  • 4 Egg Whites(room temp)
  • 1cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1tsp Vanilla essence
  • A pinch of salt
  • Red color (optional)
  • 1tsp Rose water for flavoring

How to make Meringue Cookies

  1. In a bowl start beating the egg white on high speed. While beating add salt.
  2. Then start adding powdered sugar 1tbsp at a time. Keep on beating till very stiff peaks appears. Add the vanilla essence at this stage and beat well. If using color and rose water add at this stage.
  3. Now fill the piping bag attached with any of your favorite nozzle. Preheat the oven at 150 degree C for 15 mins. Line the baking trays with parchment papers. Pipe out the meringues to the prepared trays.
  4. Bake at 150 degree C for 30 mins or till it is not sticky while touching. Turn off the oven and keep open the door of the oven for another half an hour. Let the meringues rest inside the oven.
  5. When cooled completely peel it and store in air tight containers. Enjoy the meringue cookies..
