ABOUT Mator Paneer RECIPE

Mator paneer is a vegetarian north indian dish.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Paneer 250gm
  2. Peas 1cup
  3. 1 medium size onion paste
  4. Tomato puree 1/2 cup
  5. Ginger paste 1 teaspoon
  6. Garlic paste 1 tablespoon
  7. Freesh cream 2 tablespoons
  8. Cashew nut paste 4 tablespoons
  9. Olive oil/ Vegetable oil 1 tablespoon
  10. Turmeric powder 1 1/2 teaspoon
  11. Red chilli powder 1 tablespoon
  12. Cumin powder 1 teaspoon
  13. Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon
  14. Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  15. Bay leaf 1
  16. Salt to taste
  17. Kasori methi(Optional)
  18. Ghee 1 teaspoon
  19. Pinch of sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the paneer.
  2. Take a pan and heat the oil. Add cumin seeds and bay leaf.
  3. Add onion paste, ginger and garlic paste. Mix.
  4. Add tomato puree and mix.
  5. Add all the spices with some water and mix well.
  6. Now add fresh cream and cashew nuts paste and mix.
  7. Add more of water and cover for 1 minute.
  8. Now add peas and paneer pieces. Cover for sometime.
  9. When the gravy is little thick spread ghee and serve with rice.
