ABOUT Crispy Jalebi RECIPE

Jalebi is a very popular Indian sweet.everyone like jalebies so much.first make the batter then after 10 mins poured batter in a spiral shape in hot ghee and deep fried ,then these fried spirals are soaked in sugar syrup for few minutes and then served. So that you get crispy,syrupy,juicy and crunchy jalebies.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. All purpose flour 4 cups
  2. Gram Flour(besan) 2 tablespoon
  3. Curd 4 tablespoon
  4. Baking powder 1/2 tablespoon
  5. Orange food colour 1 teaspoon
  6. Pistachio 5 to 6
  7. Almonds 5 to 6
  8. Green Elaich 3 to 4
  9. Desi Ghee for frying
  10. Sugar 2 cups
  11. Water 1 cup

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl take all purpose flour,gram flour and baking powder.
  2. Mix all the dry ingredients with a spoon.
  3. Then add curd,food colour and water,the amount of water to be added depends on the quantity of flour used I added one cup water.
  4. Mix batter properly for 2 minutes and leave it for 10 minutes.
  5. Now pour this batter in the squeezy tomato ketchup bottles that we get in the market. You can also used piping bag,
  6. Take sugar in a pan, add water and elachi to ti.
  7. Keep this pan on stove top on low flame and began to stir so that the sugar dissolved.
  8. On a low to medium flame cook sugar syrup.
  9. Cook till you get one string consistency in sugar syrup.
  10. Heat ghee in a kadai or pan keep temperature of ghee not to hot.
  11. Now squeez the bottle and make spiral rings with the batter.
  12. Keep frying jalebies until they are crisp and golden in colour.
  13. Then immediately put the fried jalebies in the sugar syrup .
  14. Keep them in the syrup for about 2 to 3 minutes .
  15. Now serve jalebies hot and garnish with chopped pista n almonds.
