Kothimbir Vadi

Ingredients to make Kothimbir Vadi

  • 2 cups Coriander leaves chopped
  • 2 cups Besan or gram flour
  • 1 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Rice Flour
  • 1 tsp  Turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp  Cumin seeds
  • 8  Garlic  pods
  • 1'' inch piece of ginger
  • 8  Green chillies
  • Oil
  • Salt to taste

How to make Kothimbir Vadi

  1. Make a paste of garlic, ginger and green chillies.
  2. Mix besan, rice flour and salt in water.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, turmeric and garlic/ginger paste. Stir continuously.
  4. Add coriander leaves and saute for few seconds then add besan mixture.
  5. Stir till mixture becomes thick.
  6. Spread evenly the mixture on foil. And allow it to cool down.
  7. Cut into Square/diamond shaped pieces and shallow fry till crisp.
