Homemade Thick Tomato Soup

Ingredients to make Homemade Thick Tomato Soup

  • Tomatoes 4
  • Garlic Cloves 1-2
  • Baby Carrot 1-2
  • Beetroot small sized 1
  • Onion small sized 1
  • Bay leaves 1-2
  • Paprika to taste
  • Sugar 1/2 tsp (optional)
  • Oil/Butter for cooking
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to make Homemade Thick Tomato Soup

  1. Heat a pressure cooker, add oil then add in the bay leaves, chopped garlic and saute well. Then add in the onion and saute again. Next, put in all the chopped vegetables with salt,sugar and paprika. Give it a good stir.
  2. Put on the pressure cook lid. Wait for 1-2 whistles to blow.Then turn off heat. Once the pressure releases itself, discard the bay leaves and blend this mixture well. Then strain it.
  3. Using the same pressure cooker, add in a little butter to heat. Pour in this strained mixture and adjust the seasoning. Bring it to boil and add in black pepper powder.
  4. Serve and enjoy hot soup!
