ABOUT Palak Paneer RECIPE

Palak paneer is one of the most loved north indian dishes.it is very easy to prepare and taste delicious .it is served with Tawa roti or naan or even jeera rice.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Spinach (palak) - 1 large bunch or 4 cups chopped
  2. 150 grams paneer (cubed into 1|/2 inch pieces)
  3. 2 green chilies chopped
  4. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  5. 1 large onion finely chopped
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 2 tsp ginger garlic chili paste
  8. Tomato puree 1/2 cup
  9. 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  10. 1/2 tsp Dhaniya powder
  11. 1 tsp turmeric
  12. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds

Instructions

  1. Blanch Spinach in salt water for 2 minutes. Drain excess water.Add Spinach to cold water and keep it aside for 3-4 minutes. Strain spinach
  2. Grind Spinach to form smooth puree
  3. Now heat oil in pan .Add ginger garlic chili paste and jeera ,saute until raw aroma goes away
  4. Add onion and saute until translucent
  5. Add tomato puree and cook until mixture starts to leave sides
  6. Add in salt , spice powders and spinach puree. Mix well and cook on low heat for 5 minutes
  7. Finally add cubed paneer (you can add them raw or fry and add it in gravy). Mix well. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Serve hot with roti
